Cookie Policy

What we store on your device

PLOYCRAFT only stores what the site needs to work. None of it is used for advertising or to follow you across other websites, so we do not ask for consent.

• Login session (browser storage, and the ploycraft_session cookie): keeps you logged in. It is removed when you log out or the session expires.
• Guest session (the ploycraft_guest_session cookie, up to one year, set with your first move as a guest): lets you play without an account and counts your free guest turns.
• Browser identifier (the ploycraft_device cookie, up to one year): a random number that tells our servers which browsers an account has been used from, so that a suspended player cannot simply open another account. It identifies the browser, not you, and is used for nothing else.
• Challenge editor draft (browser storage): keeps an unsaved challenge you are writing.
• Notice dismissed (browser storage): remembers that you closed the cookie notice.
• Android app (browser storage, for the visit only): remembers, from one page to the next, that you are using the PloyCraft Android app, which does not show purchases. It is deleted when you close the app.
• Offline page (the browser's cache, kept by a service worker): a copy of the page shown when there is no connection. It holds nothing about you.

Your runs and game progress are not stored on your device. They are saved with your account on our servers, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Visit statistics

We count visits with Umami, which sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. We send it the page you visited, without the part of the address that can contain personal links or codes, and the site you came from. Umami does not store your IP address.

Other services the site loads

• Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are not a bot when you sign up, log in, ask for a password reset, play or create challenges.
• Stripe handles payments on its own checkout pages, under Stripe's own cookie policy.
• cdnjs and jsDelivr deliver icons and code libraries. Like any website your browser loads files from, they receive your IP address.

Blocking cookies

You can block or delete cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. If you do, you will be logged out and guest play will not work.
